Wolverton has been a base camp for high adventure Scouting since 1939. Although the camp is operated by the Crescent Bay Area Council of West Los Angeles, it is open to all Scouts. We hosted the Australian Contingent to the World Scout Jamboree in 1967. Major emphasis of Camp Wolverton is placed on Backpacking, Ecology, and Conservation. Most Scout Campers will spend four days (some as many as ten days) on the trails of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, enjoying the wonders of nature and learning new skills and self-reliance. They will be practicing our Minimum Impact Program involving the use of Bluet stoves in most areas to conserve wood.

The Scouts and Staff of Camp Wolverton thank you for helping to make this experience possible.
