Hello Wolverton Staff and Friends:

I hope all of you are doing well. The mountains are calling for us to get together again for fun, food, talk of big trees, and so on.

We have a good, relaxing weekend planned for Friday through Sunday, May 30, 31, and June 1, 2014, at Camp Whitsett. If you haven’t seen the Nature Lodge with the Wolverton-Robbins Nature Education Program yet, this will be a fine opportunity. Nearly two thousand Scouts have already been there since it opened last June. The lake is already full at the Camp and ready for kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and fishing. We will have cabins with bunks to sleep in, or you can bring your own tent. The days should be warm and the evenings cool. And, the Camp kitchen and dining area will be open for our meals.

If you reserve and pay before April 30, we are able to offer a discount price for the weekend of only $35. Beginning May 1, the price becomes the regular $50 per person. This year, we are also able to offer children 5 years and younger to join the group for free for the weekend when they come with at least one adult. You must register no later than May 22 so the Camp can purchase the correct amount of food.

Please email me as soon as you know what you want to do, if you have any questions, and to let me know how many of you will be attending. All checks should be made payable to me, and I will write one check to the Boy Scouts for the weekend. The first meal will be Friday dinner, and the last meal will be Sunday breakfast. If you want to arrive earlier or stay later, please let me know and arrangements can be made.
